Base Design Agreement
This Design Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Crafted Kitchen Design Co. (“Designer”) and the undersigned client (“Client”). This Agreement outlines the terms and conditions under which design services will be provided.
Scope of Services
Designer provides kitchen and bathroom design services, which may include Design Consultation, Concept & Layout Design, or Full Service Interior Design. Certain services may be offered as packaged design services with a defined scope and fixed fee, while others are custom and scoped individually. The specific scope, deliverables, timeline, and fees for the selected service will be outlined in writing and agreed upon prior to commencement of design work. Services may be initiated via booking, checkout, or inquiry, depending on the service type.
Fees & Payment
Design fees are determined based on the selected service and project scope. For packaged design services, payment is due in full at the time of purchase unless otherwise stated. For custom or full service engagements, a deposit is required to initiate services, with remaining balances billed according to the agreed schedule. Design services commence upon receipt of payment and any required intake materials. Fees paid are non-refundable once work has commenced and are applied toward services rendered.
Scope Confirmation & Adjustments
Client-provided information, including measurements, photos, and intake responses, is reviewed prior to the start of design work. If the scope of the project exceeds the parameters of the selected service, Designer will notify Client and outline appropriate next steps. Fees paid may be applied toward an adjusted scope or alternative service, as agreed in writing.
Design Revisions
Design fees include the following revision allowances: Design Consultation: Clarifying questions only; no design revisions. Concept & Layout Design: One (1) round of revisions. Full Service Interior Design: Two (2) total rounds of revisions. Additional revisions may be billed at an hourly rate and will be discussed in advance.
Client Decisions & Changes
Client approvals are required to move the project forward. Changes to previously approved designs, selections, or specifications may require additional fees and schedule adjustments.
Measurements & Site Conditions
All measurements and site information provided by Client are used for design planning purposes only. Designer does not verify site conditions or dimensions. Final dimensions must be verified by Client’s contractor, builder, or installer prior to fabrication and construction. Designer is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect or unverified measurements.
Sourcing & Procurement
Designer may source and specify materials, fixtures, lighting, hardware, and finishes as part of Full Service Interior Design. Procurement services, if offered, are defined separately in writing prior to ordering. Once items are approved and ordered, all selections are considered final. Client is responsible for costs associated with changes, cancellations, restocking fees, or non-refundable charges.
Suspension or Termination
If Client pauses, delays, or discontinues services, fees for services rendered to date remain due and payable. Fees paid are non-refundable once work has commenced. Projects paused for more than thirty (30) days may require a new agreement to resume.
Designer Availability
Design services are scheduled based on availability at the time of engagement. Designer cannot guarantee immediate resumption following a pause or delay.
General Terms
This Agreement represents the entire understanding between the parties. Modifications must be agreed to in writing. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
